K is for Cookies started with a sweet tooth and a passion for baking,
which slowly blossomed into a business...
is for Kelly. (Hi, that's me.) I have a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from the
University of Connecticut. Previously a Marketing Account Executive, in 2007
I happily traded in my 9-to-5 gig for a life in the restaurant business. Having worked
in restaurants on-and-off since I was a teenager, I finally realized that's where I was happiest. (After all, isn't that what it's all about?!) The best part: being around food
and other people who love food.
In 2012, I serendipitously ended up at LeFarm restaurant in Westport, CT.
Having enjoyed baking since I was a kid - and attempting to satisfy my insatiable sweet tooth - I would bake sweet treats at home and bring them in for everyone to nibble on.
One day, Chef said "I like your cookies." And the rest, as they say, is cookie history.
Those circular little goodies made their first public appearance on the LeFarm dessert menu as the 'Plate of Cookies.' When customers embraced the idea as well, the
cookie creative juices started flowing and K is for Cookies was born!
